The establishment of FIC (now a subsidiary of FICG) in 1979 was driven by the aspiration to give back to society. More than forty years ago in Taiwan, computer applications were not widely used and lagged behind significantly. The Company’s goal at that time was to popularize computers. On one hand, the goal was to enhance Taiwan’s international competitiveness, and on the other, to allow the general public to enjoy the benefits of technology, promoting the advancement of civilization: Hence the name FIC.
After the Company went public in 1993, we honored the legacy of my parents, Chien Chi and Chen Ho, who were dedicated to supporting education and aiding the underprivileged, by establishing the CGCH Foundation for Education to give back to society through concrete actions.

Therefore, we place great emphasis on corporate governance. Our motto is: Harmony on the outside, integrity within, grounded in reality, striving for perfection, united in purpose, innovating services, and respecting our customers.
Internal training within the Company emphasizes principles of conduct. Colleagues should interact harmoniously, while maintaining firm adherence to principles, following rules, and avoiding any illegal actions. In terms of method, the approach demands being practical, while also striving for perfection in quality. There should be a passion for innovative service, with careful design for each product. With sincerity and dedication, provide attentive care to customers. Emphasize that the Company is the result of combined efforts, and unity is essential for sustainable operation.
After forty years, it can be said that in today’s Taiwan, everyone has a computer, achieving true computer popularization.
Over a decade ago, we recognized the trend of everyone having a computer, so we adjusted the Company’s approach by adopting GRM as our practical action plan for this stage. G stands for Green, which means energy saving and carbon reduction, protecting the environment, and using , designing, and manufacturing green products. R stands for Rugged, which promotes the development of long-lasting products while also reminding the Company to build a solid foundation for sustainable operations. M stands for Mobility, which emphasizes designing lightweight and user-friendly products that can connect anywhere and anytime. This ensures that products can be repeatedly used in various environments for as long as possible, opposing the concept of short-term use and disposable products that harm the environment.
Last year, the Company officially joined the ESG movement. We will further deepen and expand our commitment to the social concerns, environmental issues, governance, and sustainability that we have focused on over the past forty years.
As societal civilization and technological progress advance rapidly, the FIC Group must also keep pace. When GRM becomes the norm for our operations and ESG becomes a consensus, we will set new practical action plans for the next stage. This will further our (FICG) vision of giving back to society and realizing our corporate sustainability goals.
